Juvenile Curfew Ordinance
On Tuesday, November 18, 2008, the Buda City Council passed a “Juvenile Curfew Ordinance” for the City of Buda.
This Ordinance establishes a curfew for persons under 17 years of age, making it unlawful for any person subject to a curfew to remain in any public place or on the premises of any establishment within the City during curfew hours, making it unlawful for any parent or guardian of a person subject to a curfew to knowingly permit, or by insufficient control allow, such person to remain in any public place or on the premises of any establishment within the City during curfew hours. Those hours are 11:00 p.m. on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday until 6:00 a.m. of the following day; and 12:01 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. on any Saturday or Sunday. A civil penalty up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) per infraction, for committing acts in violation of the Ordinance.
